It’s your responsibility as a cashier to ensure that our customers enjoy a positive shopping experience. In addition to managing money, you’ll be verifying that transactions are accurate. Your accuracy in math and attention to detail will help to maintain order. This role will work various shifts during trade and non-trading hours, including on Sundays and public holidays, and will report directly to the Till Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements:

-Matric/Grade 12

-Experience: A minimum of one year of cashiering experience

-Good English skills

Duties:

-Operate an electronic point of sale with a scale attached

-Ring up every item the customer is buying quickly and accurately, making sure the right amount of change is handed out.

-Maintain all payment options precisely to guarantee a balanced cash balance.

-Maintain a clean and hygienic till area

-Have a positive outlook and offer each client outstanding, cordial customer service.

-Keep up-to-date knowledge of both product codes and the items that are being sold.

-Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements

-Continue to have excellent time management and communication abilities.

-Perform well, especially when things are busy.
