Job Description:

Mercedes-Benz Bedfordview is currently seeking an Apprentice L1 to diagnose and expedite vehicle servicing. Responsibilities include using diagnostic equipment, following DCSA procedures and policies, discussing service details with customers, and ensuring vehicle care and safety. The role also involves attending breakdown calls, minimizing comebacks, and returning vehicles to customers in a clean condition. The Apprentice is expected to sign for parts, use them appropriately, and return unused parts. Additionally, providing fault finding and systems diagnostic services on motor vehicles and participating in training courses are essential.

Position Overview:

The Apprentice L1 reports to the Line Manager, focusing on repairing Passenger Cars & Vans according to dealer/distributor standards in the most productive manner.

Specific Role Responsibilities:

Provide technical and diagnostic services within the service department.

Effectively use modern diagnostic equipment and interpret findings during vehicle service.

Discuss service details with customers when required.

Accomplish servicing of electric equipment as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

Grade 12 with Maths and Physical Science

N2 in Engineering Science, Technical Drawing, Maths, and Motor Trade Theory

Valid Driver’s License
