Job Description:

BMW South Africa is seeking a dedicated Production Associate to join our dynamic team at the BMW Plant. As a Production Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production processes. Your responsibilities will include performing assembly operations such as fitting and adjusting components, maintaining product quality standards, adhering to 5S requirements for workspace organization, and identifying and reporting safety, health, and environmental hazards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform assembly operations, including fitting and adjusting components to meet quality standards.
• Initiate actions to ensure product quality under all circumstances during the production process.
• Adhere to 5S requirements for workspace organization and cleanliness.
• Follow operation instructions meticulously to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
• Identify safety, health, and environmental hazards within your area and report them promptly to the appropriate personnel.
• Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE) for a safe working environment.
• Maintain a clean and pollution-free workspace, contributing to a sustainable production environment.
• Report all incidents and emergencies to the designated contacts without delay.
• Adhere strictly to South African legal requirements regarding safety, health, and environment, as communicated by your team leader.
• Handle chemicals safely according to Chemical Handling Instructions (CHI) guidelines.
• Operate all equipment safely and efficiently, following operational procedures.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

• Matric certificate with Mathematics and Science or equivalent N3 qualification.
• Technical N4 Engineering in Electrical or Mechanical (or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and follow instructions.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities to address production challenges efficiently.
