About the company:
Motus Ford Germiston is currently seeking an enthusiastic individual for the role of Apprentice Level 1. Under the guidance of the Service Manager, this position is tailored for someone with a keen interest in vehicle repairs and an ambition to become a skilled Motor Mechanic Technician. The successful candidate will participate in a comprehensive four-year Apprentice Training Programme.
Responsibilities:
-Assist Technicians in vehicle repairs
-Remove and replace vehicle parts/units
-Jack up vehicles and set up trestles
-Perform lubrication and oil changes (under supervision) according to manual specifications
-Replace wheels and air/oil filters
-Aid in various vehicle repair tasks
-Battery removal and replacement
-Maintain cleanliness in work area and clean vehicle parts
-Attend prescribed technical/level courses
-Perform other reasonable duties as required
-Follow safety rules and guidelines
Qualifications and Experience:
-Grade 12 with Pure Math and Physical Science
-Preference for candidates with a Motor Mechanic Trade qualification
-Valid Driver’s License is advantageous
-Clear Criminal Record is a must
Skills and Attributes:
-Technical skills will be beneficial
-Strong customer orientation and ability to work well in a team
