About Us:

Motus Honda Germiston is currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Apprentice Level 1. Reporting to the Service Manager, this position is designed for someone passionate about vehicle repairs, aspiring to become a proficient Motor Mechanic Technician. The successful candidate will undergo a comprehensive four-year Apprentice Training Programme.

Responsibilities:

-Assist Technicians in vehicle repairs to gain practical experience under supervision.

-Remove and replace vehicle parts/units.

-Jack up vehicles and set up trestles.

-Perform lubrication and oil changes (under supervision) according to manual specifications.

-Replace wheels and air/oil filters.

-Contribute to various vehicle repair tasks.

-Handle battery removal and replacement.

-Maintain cleanliness in the work area and ensure clean vehicle parts.

-Attend scheduled technical/level training courses to enhance skills.

-Thoroughly prepare for level tests to qualify within the maximum of 4 years.

-Assist with housekeeping, keeping tools, and equipment in good order.

-Adhere to workplace safety, conduct rules, and protocols.

-Perform any other reasonable duties required from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience:

-Grade 12 with Pure Math and Physical Science.

-Preference for candidates with a Motor Mechanic Trade qualification.

-Possession of a valid Driver’s License is advantageous.

-Clear Criminal Record is a must.

Skills and Attributes:

-Technical skills will be beneficial.

-Strong customer orientation and ability to work well in a team.
