Intercape, a leading bus service specializing in long-distance travel across South Africa, is seeking dedicated and experienced Professional Coach Drivers to join our team. Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the safety and functionality of the coach.

Drive in accordance with K53 requirements and Intercape’s policies and procedures.

Handle luggage loading and ensure proper handling of passengers’ belongings.

Provide excellent passenger care and etiquette throughout the journey.

Perform onboard administration tasks, including ticket validation and sales.

Maintain coach hygiene standards and manage breakdown situations effectively.

Enforce and adhere to safety requirements for both passengers and staff.

Utilize prescribed systems efficiently to enhance service delivery.

Job Related Requirements:

South African citizenship is mandatory.

Valid Code 14 Driver’s License and Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).

Clear speech and effective communication skills.

Access to a personal cellular telephone.

Reliable transportation to and from the Pretoria Depot (within a 45 km radius).

Proficiency in both English and a mother tongue language.

Accident-free driving record with valid reference numbers from previous employments.

Willingness to undergo SAPS clearance and license verification.

Ready to participate in a 3-week training program.

Experience and Educational Requirements:

• Minimum Grade 10 (Standard 8) education.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in long-distance driving (400km or more).

COVID-19 Precautions:

• Personal protective equipment provided or required.
• Temperature screenings and social distancing guidelines in place.
• Regular sanitizing, disinfecting, and cleaning procedures implemented.
