Introduction:
Murray & Roberts is seeking qualified candidates for the Learner Operator Raise Drilling position at Dishaba Mine near Thabazimbi, Limpopo. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor Raise Drilling, the successful candidate will undergo training and supervision in raise drilling operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise general workers and operate drilling equipment to achieve competency at an entry-level role
Complete practical and theoretical training at the M&RC Training Academy
Safely operate raise drilling machines under supervision and follow safety protocols
Handle administrative tasks accurately and in a timely manner
Adhere to company standards, policies, procedures, and safety protocols
Minimum Requirements:
– Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
– Completion of Raise Drilling Operator training program (Theory essential)
– Competency B
– Proficient in English (written and verbal)
– Preferably 2 years’ experience as a Raise Drilling General Worker (Advantageous)
– Knowledge of raise drilling operations and risk assessment methods
