he City of Ekurhuleni is seeking a highly organized and proactive Personal Assistant to join the Office of the Executive Mayor. This role involves providing comprehensive support to Member(s) of the Mayoral Committees (MMC), including managing office operations, handling correspondence, coordinating travel and events, and liaising with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Manage the office, diary, and logistical arrangements in the Office of the MMC.

Handle all incoming and outgoing correspondence, prioritizing and referring as needed.

Screen telephone calls within the MMC’s office.

Maintain a comprehensive filing system.

Coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements.

Procure goods and services and facilitate payments.

Arrange meetings, workshops, campaigns, and events.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on service delivery and political mandates.

Assist the MMC in managing workflow, deadlines, and sensitive matters.

Job Requirements:

Grade 12 or relevant NQF level 4.

Exceptional computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet & E-mail).

Strong office management, leadership, and analytical skills.

Ability to function effectively under pressure and demonstrate resilience.

Knowledge of legislative framework, service delivery, and protocol.

1-2 years of experience in a political environment.
