About the Company:

Motus Renault Germiston is actively seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Apprentice Level 1. Under the supervision of the Service Manager, this position is tailored for an individual enthusiastic about vehicle repairs, aspiring to become a proficient Motor Mechanic Technician. The successful candidate will undergo a comprehensive four-year Apprentice Training Programme.

Responsibilities:

– Provides assistance to Technicians in vehicle repairs to gain practical experience.

– Executes the removal and replacement of vehicle parts/units.

– Jacks up vehicles and sets up trestles.

– Performs lubrication and oil changes (under supervision) following manual specifications.

– Replaces wheels and air/oil filters.

– Contributes to various vehicle repair tasks.

– Manages battery removal and replacement.

– Maintains cleanliness in the work area, ensuring clean vehicle parts.

-Attends scheduled technical/level training courses to enhance skills.

-Thoroughly prepares for level tests to qualify within the maximum of 4 years.

– Assists with housekeeping, maintaining tools and equipment in good order.

– Adheres to workplace safety, conduct rules, and protocols.

– Performs any other reasonable duties required from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience:

-Holds a Grade 12 with Pure Math and Physical Science.

-Prefers candidates with a Motor Mechanic Trade qualification.

-Holds a valid Driver’s License, which is advantageous.

-Must have a clear Criminal Record.

Skills and Attributes:

• Technical skills will be advantageous.
• Demonstrates strong customer orientation and the ability to work effectively in a team.
