Our client, a prominent leader in the packaging machines and packaging technology sector based in Cape Town, is looking to hire a Picker Packer Driver for the George location. The client operates in over 80 sites across more than 160 countries globally.

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Forklift Driver License would be advantageous.
• PDP (Professional Driving Permit) would be advantageous.
• 3-5 years of experience working in a warehouse environment, including involvement in stocktaking.
• Fluent communication skills.
• Reliability as an individual.
• Ability to follow instructions while also demonstrating initiative.
• Residence in or around the George area.

Duties:

• Receive, verify, allocate, and process goods and stock items.
• Pick orders accurately.
• Handle GRN (Goods Receipt Note) shipments and notify all concerned parties.
• Mark and organize goods to designated locations in the store.
• Deliver orders to customers.
• Track shipments in-route and follow up on them.
• Possess a good understanding of trip sheets and planning.
• Conduct stock takes.
• Process and communicate the receipt of non-conforming items.
• Maintain delivery vehicles through monthly inspections and cleaning.
• Demonstrate attention to detail to identify errors or defects.
• Exhibit excellent planning and organizing skills.
• Work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Manage a fast-paced work environment, concentrating on multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Possess excellent communication and administrative skills.
• Demonstrate superior time management and problem-solving skills.
