Minimum Requirements:

-Basic skills in reading, writing, and math.

-The right amount of experience with portering services.

-Communication skills in at least two of the Western Cape’s three official languages.

-Availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

-Communication and interpersonal abilities.

-Understanding of effective infection prevention techniques.

-Independent, under time constraints, unsupervised, and teamwork skills.

Duties:

-Efficient and safe handling and transportation of patients.

-Help load and unload patients from ambulances and other vehicles.

-Assist the nursing team in moving patients from beds or carts to other surfaces.

-Morgue services were effectively and efficiently administered, including the transfer of bodies from wards to the morgue and the recording of details in the mortuary registry.

-Controlled the equipment with efficiency and effectiveness, notifying the supervisor of any trolley or wheelchair issues.

-An effectively supported HR function.
