We have a fantastic opening for a Shop Assistant/Cashier in a Clicks’ store, who will be responsible for reporting to the Store Manager. This is a great chance to launch a retail career.

Minimum Requirements:

-Essential: Grade 12

-Desirable: Maths 50% and English 50% at Grade 12 level

-Relevant Retail/Business Management degree is preferred.

-Experience working with customers in a retail or FMCG store environment is preferred.

Duties:

-To promptly and effectively complete all operational tasks at the point of sale.

-Must continue to operate with high levels of accuracy while scanning goods, collecting payments, and processing clubcard benefits.

-To ensure the safe handling of cash at all times.

-In order to meet the clubcard participation goals, it is important to actively market the Clicks clubcard and sign up new members.

-To make customers aware of promotions in order to positively affect sales and to ensure customers “feel good and pay less”.

-By serving as a brand ambassador, being noticeable, and providing a welcoming and professional environment, one can provide exceptional customer service.

-To effectively carry out and maintain all general cleaning and merchandising tasks in accordance with store and visual merchandise standards.
